Yogi’s Haircut

Filed under: Yogi — Tags: — Matt Stamplis @ 11:57 am

OK, so after we took Yogi with us to go skiing a few times, his shaggy hair started developing the craziest mats I’ve ever seen. They were getting to the point where it was impossible to comb them out so we had to take him to get a haircut. He always looks incredibly strange after a haircut but this time they cut him really short. We both agree that he looks like one of those hairless cats so every time I see him now I go “Meoooow”. Anyway, here’s the before and after shots!

That’s an awful lot of toys for one small dog…

I have to admit I’m a little embarrassed walking him around the neighborhood looking like this. Maybe we’ll just take him out for a walk at night…Poor dog!

  1. Poor Yogi 😦

  2. Yogi seems well behaved. My dog, Ara would have destroyed that white carpet and the books on the lower shelve. Not to mention the toys.

I personally won’t be embarrassed if Yogi was my dog despite his hair shaving. This is because I love my dog regardless how he is. For example, Ara has been known to be very hyper. Sometimes he gets too excited he pees. People have complained/commented on this. But I love him anyway.

  3. Thanks Rosie. Yes, Yogi is a very well-behaved dog. Almost everybody who has met him love him instantaneously, even those who doesn’t love dog that much. When I went to pick him up from the groomer, they wanted to charge me extra $6 for more time put in dematting him. But look at him, he’s all shaved, there’s no dematting that I can see so I wasn’t willing to pay for it. Then they said ‘He even bites and we need extra people to calm him down’. I was sooooo irritated when I heard that because never once have I seen Yogi bites and even if he really does bite them, it must be because they were not very nice to him. That makes me even more irritated because I will not pay them more money if they treated my dog poorly. Needless to say, I didn’t end up paying the extra after I talked to their manager.
I love Yogi whether or not he’s fuzzy or naked. He’s still my cute baby pooch 🙂 and I’m sure you feel the same about Ara.

  4. The poor thing.

I used to have a german spitz, and shaved her quite regularly, and she looked like a little lamb.
She used to look so embarrassed when I walked her round the neighborhood.
