Home Sweet Home – Or bitter sweet??

Filed under: Random thoughts — joannestamplis @ 11:27 am

Well, we are now resting at home in Oregon. We will be stopping here for a few weeks before we head out again. We decided to sell the Majestic and downsize our rig due to both financial and convenient reason. So those who are in the market for an RV, let us know ๐Ÿ™‚

Since we do not own any other vehicle and driving the RV around town would be just too inconvenient and costly, we have been taking the MAX or bike depending on where we are going. Here’s a funny story: just few days ago we bike to Winco in Hillsboro with our bagpacks to store grocery. On the way out, we were approached by 2 homeless looking people. At first I thought he was going to ask for money but then he started to say things like “you know, there’s a Salvation Army by certain street and they will give free meal, for people like us…”. Both Matt and I were just nodding and thanks the guy for his information. Then as we left, we both looked at each other with a grin in our faces. Apparently we must have appeared to be poor and homeless to those people ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, until we sell the RV, we won’t have any other mode of transportation and will have to rely on other people if we want to go climbing outdoor. So, those who needs climbing partners, feel free to contact us anytime.

  1. but how convenient would a smaller vehicle be when you hit the road again? still, welcome home!

  2. Driving a smaller car would be a lot convenient for where we are heading next. The big RV would just be more troublesome on dirt road and camping in Squamish. Plus, the gas saving would be great.

  5. Hahaha, yeah I wish we are homeless people because that will mean my house is sold ๐Ÿ™‚
Too bad though, still have the house with us. We didn’t even look bad when that homeless guy talked to us. We both just took a shower, nicely clean up with clean clothes, carrying Arcteryx nice backpack. Oy
